On November 26, the 2024 “Talk and Show Jiangxi” Ganzhou Trip for Foreign Internet Influencers officially commenced in Ganzhou, a city often referred to as the “Southern Gateway of Jiangxi Province。” Over 10 internet influencers from countries including Russia, Mexico, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Madagascar are set to embark on a four-day journey through southern Jiangxi.

The event is jointly organized by the Office of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Government of Jiangxi Province and China News Service Jiangxi Branch, co-organized by the Office of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Government of Ganzhou City, and hosted by China News Service International Communication Group Jiangxi Branch. It aims to showcase Jiangxi’s red culture, modern industries, and ancient civilization to the world through the unique perspectives of these foreign influencers.

During the four-day itinerary, the influencers will explore iconic revolutionary landmarks such as the Ruijin Revolutionary Sites and the Memorial Park of the Central Red Army’s Long March Departure Site. They will also experience key components of Jiangxi’s contributions to the Belt and Road Initiative, such as the Ganzhou International Inland Port and the Nankang Home Furnishing Town. The trip highlights the region’s distinctive industries, including fruit farming, furniture manufacturing, and food processing, with interactive exchanges focusing on modern agriculture, rural tourism, and industrial revitalization. Additionally, the participants will stroll along the ancient city walls of the Song Dynasty in Ganzhou, soaking in the echoes of history in the millennia-old city and marvel at the seamless blend of Jiangxi’s ancient heritage with its modern development.

A representative from the Office of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Government of Jiangxi Province noted that this year holds special significance as it marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 90th anniversary of the departure of the Long March. The event leverages the “outsider’s” perspectives of foreign influencers and their reach on international social media platforms to vividly and intuitively share stories of Jiangxi’s unique path to Chinese modernization. It also serves to promote Jiangxi as a model of high-quality development in inland regions.
