International Media Tour held in China with the participation of Bangladesh

Sino-Bangla Desk: In order to vividly introduce the development history of the Communist Party of China in Guangxi, to become cultural messengers and friendship bridges that promote friendly exchanges between China’s Guangxi Autonomous Region and other countries in the world, to enhance people-to-people bonds and cooperation, seven days “Guangxi in the Eyes of the International Media – 2022” tour was held in China with the participation of international visitors.

Between 15-21 November, the “Guangxi in the Eyes of the International Media Tour” was held in the cities of Baise and Qingzhou of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region which is well-known for its profound history, splendid culture, and enchanting scenery.

With the theme of “Forge Ahead on a New Journey and Breaking New Ground for the Splendid Guangxi in a New Era”, this trip was jointly sponsored by the Publicity Department of the Party Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and China’s prestigious media platform China News Agency Guangxi Branch. The Business Standard China Correspondent Mohammad Saiyedul Islam got the opportunity to take part in the event.

The seven-day tour helped the visiting group learn more about Guangxi’s achievements in high-quality economic growth, rural revitalization, industrial development, poverty alleviation, and ecological protection. To carry out a 7-day traveling experience, members of the team visited the red memorial hall, modern production enterprises, ports and construction sites of major projects, coastal villages, agricultural industrial bases, and an intangible cultural heritage center.

Cui Zuojun, Executive Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the Party Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; Zhang Mingxin, Editor-in-chief of China News Agency; Liu Xiaoguang, Chairman of Cambodia-China Journalists Association and President of ASEAN News Agency attended and delivered speeches at the launching ceremony of the “Guangxi in the Eyes of the International Media” event.

Cui Zuojun expressed the hope that Chinese and foreign media friends can get close to Guangxi, discover Guangxi, and understand Guangxi during the traveling experience. Give full play to the role of a bridge connecting the world, record with heart and soul the specific actions of Guangxi to promote the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, witness the historic achievements of Guangxi’s development in the new era in the past 10 years, and demonstrate the role of Chinese-style modernization in Guangxi.

After visiting Beibu International Gulf Port, the chief engineer of this Port Wen Furong said to the delegation team that Beibu International Gulf Port adopts the world’s first ‘U’-shaped process and technical plan which can fully solve the problems of high energy consumption, high investment cost, unbalanced equipment utilization. He hopes to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with other countries in terms of port construction and logistics chain construction, sharing experience and management systems in South Asian countries including Bangladesh.

A team of Overseas mainstream media journalists, experts and scholars, and international students from 17 countries and regions including Bangladesh, United Kingdom, Italy, Canada, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Japan, Thailand, Pakistan, and Myanmar joined the trip.

The “Guangxi in the Eyes of the International Media” event was planned and created by the Publicity Department of the Party Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region for overseas mainstream media reporters, international experts and scholars, and international students to actively participate in various activities to learn about vibrant and real China on the spot, in-depth exchanges, positive thinking, and sharing of understanding to become cultural messengers and friendship bridges that promote friendly exchanges between China and other countries in the world and enhance people-to-people bonds. Since its launch in 2018, more than 100 overseas mainstream media reporters have been invited to visit and explore Guangxi Autonomous Region.
